Chan Tran, founder of The Charming Sake, has always felt a deep connection to Japanese culture. In 2020, his passion for sake blossomed, leading to certifications as a Certified Sake Sommelier and Certified Sake Educator by 2022.

In the Fall of 2022, Chan held the Inaugural Introduction to Sake course in Manila, the first of its kind. He has since done private events and continues to private courses as part of his mission to bring Sake into the spotlight for the Philippines.

Through The Charming Sake, Chan creates a warm, inclusive space to explore sake’s artistry and rich traditions. He especially loves showcasing how sake pairs beautifully with cuisines from around the world, finding joy in the smiles sparked by discovering the perfect pairing.
